The Town Council has a scheme for an outdoor play area using the £20,000 received from developers under Section 106. No money from the Council tax precept is involved. In addition to tree planting, there will be the installation of a “natural play area” in the Greenspace using natural materials (such as wood and stone – not metal) resulting in something similar to the wooden elements of the Rushton Road play area.
Progress on the scheme was delayed last year owing to advice received in respect of the availability of materials during the pandemic. The scheme is being restarted and updates will be provided.
