Concerns about pedestrian safety in the vicinity of the zebra crossing on High Street have prompted the Town Council to set aside £19,000 to provide bollards and railings either side of the crossing to prevent pedestrians walking into the road and to stop vehicles parking on the footpath in the crossing’s zig-zagged lined area.
