Remembrance Sunday parade

Remembrance Sunday parade

Once again Desborough’s Churches, and the Desborough Branches of the Royal British Legion, will join the Town Council in commemorations for Remembrance Sunday on the morning of Sunday 12th November 2023.

The parade will congregate in the large Co-op car park, at the junction of Rushton Road and Station Road, from 9am-9.30am. It will then set off along Station Road and head south down the High Street to St Giles’ Church, where the Service of Remembrance will take place at 10am. Then at 11am the Last Post will be played followed by the laying of the wreaths. The roads on Station Road, the High Street and Lower Street will all be closed.

Roads will be closed for the shortest time possible to allow the parade to pass.  The closures will start just before 09:30.  Whilst the Council apologises for any disruption or inconvenience caused it is sure that members of our community will understand and hopefully join the parade.
