Members of the public who wish to follow proceedings are welcome to use the login details above using Zoom through the app or through a web browser. If you wish to follow proceedings by telephone only please contact the Town Clerk for further information.

All members of the public will be muted and not able to be heard unless the Chair of the meeting invites them to speak. Owing to the remote nature of attendance, any members of the public wishing to address the Council are requested to provide details to the Town Clerk before the meeting either by emailing the usual form (available on the Council’s website here Your Right to Speak at Council Meetings, by sending the same information to the Town Clerk by email, or using the email us facility on the Council’s website. 

Do not use public play or fitness equipment

During the current crisis public facilities are closed.  In Desborough that includes the library and the leisure centre, as well as restaurants, pubs, clubs, and cafés.

Please do not use, or allow your children to use, the skatepark, outdoor gym equipment, or other play equipment.

January 2020 – online consultation

The Council will be holding its annual budget meeting on 16 January 2020.  The Council needs to decide its priorities for the coming year and is asking you to help decide where efforts should be concentrated.  

How do I contribute to the discussion?

A drop-in consultation session with Councillors will be held on Saturday  4 January 2020 from 10 o’clock to noon in the library building.

January 2020 Budget Consultation

The Council will hold a special drop-in consultation on the Council’s budget for 2020/21 and plans for the future.

This will be in the library building and you can drop-in from ten in the morning until noon on Saturday 4 January 2020.

Honoured Citizen Award

Desborough Town Council’s Honoured Citizen Award is a tribute to members of the community and confers no material honours or special privileges. Awards may be made at any time and will not necessarily be made on an annual or regular basis.

Awards will take the form of an official letter or certificate, and may be presented at an appropriate place such as the recipient’s school or workplace, at an event, at a Town Council meeting, posted to them, or presented in private.

The scheme is intended to celebrate exceptional citizenship but to avoid embarrassment we keep details of nominations and deliberations confidential.
