Desborough Town Council has fixed its budget for 2023/24 and determined the Council Tax Precept for 2023/24. Details of the amounts being charged by the North Northamptonshire Council; and the Office of Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner will be available from them when they are determined.
The Town Council’s amount for the whole year is £73,590 (the same as last year) and the amount charged in Council tax to individual properties ranges from about £12.80 at Band A (down from £12.92 last year) to £38.41 at Band H (down from £38.76). The figure quoted for comparison purposes is usually Band D. Desborough’s Band D figure will be £19.20 down from £19.92.
The slight reduction in amounts households will pay is a result of an increase in the number of properties (the Council tax base) of just under 1%
