The UK’s new Emergency Alert mobile phone system will be tested on Sunday 23/04/23 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.The intention of the system is to warn people when their lives are in danger. This type of system is already in use in other countries.The Emergency Alert will play a loud, siren-like sound on mobile phones and tablets. Devices should display an accompanying message, and may also vibrate.The alarm will sound even if the device is on silent.
